IAM Annual School Supply Drive

Interfaith Assistance Ministry is accepting donations of school supplies for the 2014 School Supply Drive.  Supplies and backpacks for grades K-12 may be dropped off at IAM at 210 Ehringhaus Street & Third Avenue West, Monday through Friday 9:00 to 3:30.  Checks noted for the purchase of school supplies may be sent to IAM, P.O. Box 2562, Hendersonville NC 28793.  In 2013, IAM provided school supplies for 609 Henderson County students.

Parents in financial crisis who are in need of school supplies for their children may come to IAM for an interview to determine eligibility in July for students enrolled in flex-calendar schools and in August for students enrolled in traditional-calendar schools. Proof of student enrollment in a Henderson County school, or residency in Henderson County, is required, such as a report card, school enrollment form, child’s Medicaid card, or library card.

Interfaith Assistance Ministry is a faith-based, nonprofit organization, providing crisis assistance to Henderson County residents in an atmosphere of compassion and respect, since 1984. For more information, call 697-7029.
