Blue Ridge Literacy Council Volunteers Needed

Blue Ridge Literacy Council (BRLC) is seeking adult volunteers interested in becoming tutors and helping Henderson County adults learn or enhance their reading, writing and spoken English skills. Teaching experience or knowledge of another language is not required.


Tutors are matched with students and meet twice a week for 1½ hours.  Volunteers must also complete a 10 hour training workshop and be at least 18 years of age.


An orientation for potential volunteers will be held on Wednesday, January 8 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the BRLC offices on the campus of Blue Ridge Community College. For more information or to register, please call 696-3811.
