New Tailgate Market opening at the Hendersonville Community Co-op

 

Now for the second season, the Hendersonville Community Co-op at 715 South Grove Street (same location, new address) will be hosting a tailgate market in the parking lot of the store every Monday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Come and get your fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, flowers, eggs and plants from local growers. This year, there will also be local beef and goat cheese.  Conventional, transitional, low-spray, organic, biodynamic produce and will be available.

 

Our Chef at Market Series will continue this season.  Starting things off we’ll have our very own Deli Manager Jordan Randall demonstrating a simple dish using ingredients that can be found at market that day. All summer long, we’ll host Chef’s from around the area featuring local, fresh products from our tailgate market growers/ producers.

 

The Monday afternoon tailgate market at the Hendersonville Community Co-op is being sponsored by the store in support of the increasing number of small farmers who rely on the seasonal business of selling their products.  And in response to the growing demand from our shoppers for locally grown and produced products.  On Mondays, you can buy directly from the grower. The freshest food tastes best.
