The Arts Council of Henderson County is seeking artists to demonstrate and sell their art/ craft at the upcoming 59th annual Art on Main Festival. The festival will be held in downtown Hendersonville on historic Main Street September 29 & 30, 2018, from 10am–5pm both days.
As one of the region’s most popular outdoor arts festivals, Art on Main features both fine art and fine craft. Artists from throughout North and South Carolina, and many other states in the region will participate in the 2018 Art on Main.
The Arts Council is looking for candidates in media such as plein air painting, wood turning, blacksmithing, spinning, jewelry, weaving, caricature, etc. Artists will be required to demonstrate their work throughout both days of the festival, to engage with the public, and describe their process. Demonstrator artists will be juried. Please submit three images of finished pieces along with an application. Applications are available online at the Arts Council’s websitewww.acofhc.org, or by emailing the Arts Council at acofhc@bellsouth.net. Deadline for consideration is August 2, 2018. Applications may be dropped off at the Arts Council office at 401 North Main Street, Ste 302, Hendersonville, or mailed to the Arts Council at P.O. Box 767, Hendersonville, NC 28793. The booth fee is $75; requirements for the booths are included on the demonstrator application form.
