This week invited Chef Dave from Moe's Original Bar B-Q.  Dave brought us delicious pulled pork, corn bread, slaw, watermelon salad and banana pudding.  It was excellent!.  And Congratulation to Steve Doten who won the $25 Gift Certificate!  As you can see, Chef Cathy couldn't get enough!

Sourdough Strata Recipe

Chocolate Mousse  


Ingredients: 100 g dark chocolate

50 g butter

3 eggs


Melt the chocolate and butter in a bain marie (water bath), add the egg yolks to the chocolate. Whip the egg whites until peaks form, fold egg whites into the chocolate. Let cool for a few hours.


White Chocolate Mousse


Ingredients: 125 g white chocolate

 3dl Heavy Cream, whipped

 1 egg yoke

 1 egg

 1 tblsp Gelatin

 1 tblsp Rum


Melt the chocolate in a water bath, add the egg yolk and egg, mix well. Dissolve the gelatin in hot water and add to the chocolate mix. Add the whipped cream, put in a bowl and let cool in fridge for several hours before serving.


Financiers aux myrtilles - Blue Berry Spongecake


Ingredients: 225g flour

540 g sugar

14 egg whites

225g Almond Flour

200 g Blue Berries


Mix flours and sugar, add egg whites, when almost liquidy, add blueberries.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Pour batter in small molds and bake for 10-14 minutes.
