Historic Floods and Landslides: What Have We Learned?
This forum sponsored by the Center for Cultural Preservation, is scheduled for Saturday, February 15 from 2-4 pm at Blue Ridge Community College Thomas Auditorium. and will include experts on historic floods and landslides as well as elders whose families have been impacted by major storms for the past 108 years. This is an important opportunity to better understand how our special topography has led to many major destructive storms and what actions we can take as Individuals and as a community to be better prepared.
