Dashboard Blue & Classic Car Cruise-In
Hendersonville, NC – The Music on Main Street concert series on Friday, August 9th, features the five-piece band Dashboard Blue. Dashboard Blue is based in Asheville. The five-piece band features Frank Saine on guitar and vocals, Kevin Durden on drums, Rex Cutshall on keyboards and vocals, Thomas Mitchell on bass and Will Springer on guitar, harmonica and vocals. The band’s musical influences—the Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Buffet, the Eagles, James Taylor, the Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Motown and R&B—are evident in their play list. Concert-goers can expect to hear such perennial favorites as “Day Tripper,” “Margaritaville,” “Ain’t No Sunshine,” “Drive My Car,” “Signed, Sealed, Delivered,” “Stand by Me” and “How Sweet It Is.”
The Cruise-In is presented in conjunction with Music on Main Street and is happening at the same time as the concert. A variety of vintage cars will be on display at the event. The car show is located in front of the Visitor Center between Allen Street and Caswell Street, which will be closed to traffic. The car shows are coordinated by the Carolina Mountain Car Club. Bring a chair and sit back, relax and enjoy the music from 7-9pm. Seating area opens after 5:30pm; early admission is strictly prohibited. Animals are not permitted in the event area. Alcoholic beverages, backpacks and coolers are prohibited. Admission is free. The concerts are held every Friday evening through August 23rd.
In case of inclement weather, the concert will be postponed until 8pm; if the weather does not improve by 8pm the performance will be cancelled.
