Fall Plant Sale at Flat Rock Playhouse on Sept. 24 + 25

FLAT ROCK, NC: Plants will take center stage at the Flat Rock Playhouse when The Playhouse Gardeners hold their annual fall plant sale on Sept. 24 and 25.
As the stunning garden beds surrounding The Playhouse mature, gardening volunteers divide and prepare their favorite plants for sale to the public. Over 60 varieties of perennials, shrubs and trees are offered. Orders for the extraordinary Allium Schubertii and other bulbs will be accepted. Also, a silent auction includes five amazing Fairy Gardens and much more. Everlasting garden art made from recycled vinyl records and albums, special masks and homemade mango chutney are available.
“All proceeds are returned to the gardens to make The Playhouse Gardens a destination unto itself,” says Tamsin Allpress, leader of the volunteers at the gardens and an Extension Master Gardener. “During Covid, we have made huge strides toward creating a garden befitting The Playhouse and the Village of Flat Rock, and I urge everyone to come out and see it for themselves.”
Sale hours are 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25. Cash and checks are accepted.
