HENDERSON COUNTY COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND

March 25, 2020 - May 31, 2020

United Way of Henderson County and Community Foundation of Henderson County have created the Henderson County COVID-19 Response Fund that will rapidly deploy resources to community-based organizations at the frontlines of coronavirus in Henderson County.

ABOUT THE COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND

The Henderson County COVID-19 Response Fund has been established to provide flexible resources to 501c3 organizations in our region working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the related economic consequences.

Operating grants will help fund front line human services organizations that have deep roots in the community and strong experience working with vulnerable populations. The first phase of rapid-response grants will help meet basic needs and help increase resiliency in affected communities. The Fund expects to move an initial round of grants within the next few weeks.

An advisory committee of representatives from United Way of Henderson County, Community Foundation of Henderson County, and local government and community institutions working directly with impacted populations will proactively identify emerging community needs, strategies to meet those needs, and potential grant recipients. A Fund Distribution Committee will review applications and determine final awards. Funds will be released on a rolling basis as fundraising continues throughout the outbreak and recovery phases of the crisis, making it possible to move resources quickly and adapt to evolving needs in subsequent funding phases.

Grant applications for the Henderson County COVID-19 Response Fund can be found here.

If you have questions about the application feel free to contact Sarah Kowalak (skowalak@liveunitedhc.org) or Lee Henderson-Hill (lhenderson-hill@cfhcforever.org).

Applications will be reviewed and grants will be considered on a rolling basis. We are making every attempt to remain flexible and to respond to changing community needs and resources as quickly as possible.
