Join us for NEW student art classes this FALL! Hi! My name is Bethany Adams, and I’m the new Education Director for the Arts Council of Henderson County. A little bit about me: I graduated from Brevard College in 2014 with my Bachelor of Arts degree focused on painting and also obtained my Art K-12 Teacher Licensure. Upon graduating college until very recently, I served as the Art Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County and loved teaching art each day with members. I’m also a professional licensed artist and work from my home studio creating joyful, colorful paintings and gifts. You can learn more about my work via my website, bethanyjoyart.com! I’m honored to be planning and teaching art classes for the students of Henderson County and can’t wait to meet everyone soon! I am excited to share the information for our upcoming art classes this fall with you: Classes will be offered for 10 week blocks on Mondays, September 13 through November 15 and on Wednesdays, September 15 through November 17. Sessions will be in the afternoons/evenings at the Historic Johnson Farm. The times will be the same for both days, Mondays and Wednesdays, and are as follows: Open Studio Art Class Elementary: 3:45-4:45 PM Open Studio Art Class Elementary: 5:00-6:00 PM Open Studio Art Class Middle and High School: 6:15-7:15 PM These are open studio art classes where students can explore different mediums on their own under the supervision and support of a seasoned art instructor. Please note: the price change is due to the extension of classes from 7 week blocks to 10 week blocks, price remains the same per class. Non-members pricing for this 10 week session: $175 ACOFHC members pricing: $165 Sign-ups for each block will be limited to 10 students.
