Skating Rink Seeking Volunteers

December 11, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Iceless Skating Rink is returning to the Visitor Center parking lot starting December 18 – January 1. The synthetic surface is made from special polymers that does not liquid, so it can be enjoyed year-round in any temperature. Some of the activities include roasting marshmallows for a tasty s’more or playing a game of corn hole, checkers, or Jenga. People can also try their hand at the Olympic sport of curling. Curling involves players sliding stones on the ice towards a target.

A volunteer training dinner will be held at the Visitor Center, 201 S. Main St., in downtown Hendersonville, on Wednesday, December 11th from 5:30-7pm.

The skating rink is a fundraiser for the Henderson County America in Bloom Committee.  America in Bloom is an economic driver, designating communities nationwide as desirable areas to live, work, and visit.  America in Bloom is a mentoring program that helps towns enhance environmental awareness, promote economic development, and improve quality of life.

For information or to sign up, call Mia Freeman at 828-698-4600.
