Blooming report – End of May will see rhododendrons, azaleas, trillium, solomon’s seal, dogwood, mountain laurel, mountain magnolia, crab apple, wild geraniums, bluets,

 

Pollinator houses – bee houses can be easily constructed; butterfly houses are not really that effective; native bees find existing tunnels or will drill tubes into wood. They lay their egg, retrieve and stock a pollen ball, cap off the cell, backup and then do it again. Any tube will work including paper straws or bamboo
