Michael Cheek, Headwaters State Forest Ranger, will be the speaker at the Transylvania County Library Discover Natural Transylvania program on Thursday, November 1 at 6:30 pm.

Headwaters State Forest is located in southern Transylvania County bordering conservation lands in South Carolina.  The Forest, which combines natural resource conservation objectives with sustainable dispersed recreation opportunities, opened to hikers, hunters and fishermen who practice “Leave No Trace” ethics in September. Cheek’s presentation offers an opportunity to learn more about Transylvania County’s newest public property.
