There’s no denying this year has been incredibly challenging. As a community we have lost the opportunity to come together whether it be at a restaurant, in our churches, at the theatre or a cinema and most importantly at our schools. While the last two months have been tough for students and parents of all ages, it has been particularly difficult for High School Seniors. These young people should be having the time of their lives – going to prom, hanging out with friends, touring colleges and looking forward to the culmination of so many years of hard work – graduation day!.
While none of those traditions are possible right now, there are still memories to be made so WTZQ and Henderson County Public Schools have partnered to create a new way to celebrate these deserving students and commemorate this time – “Salute to Seniors”.
May 18th through June 21, WTZQ will air at various times throughout the day the names of all Henderson County Public Schools graduating seniors. Special thanks to our sponsors:
