In a solemn commemoration of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), NECHAMA and the Henderson County Social Justice Network invite all to honor the memory of those lost and ensure that the lessons of the past help us shape a more inclusive and compassionate future. This webinar will provide a platform to uplift survivor voices and inspire future generations to stand against hatred and injustice.
Dr. Donald Sloan, the son of a Holocaust survivor who fled Germany as a teenager, will share his father’s powerful story of survival and resilience; now living in Western North Carolina, he continues to educate and inspire, and we are honored to host him for this meaningful event.
The program will also feature remarks and prayers from clergy and partner organizations representing communities across Western North Carolina and beyond.
