Join City of Hendersonville staff for a drop-in Public Input Event at Rosa Edwards Park!

The field located behind the main branch of the Henderson County Public Library is known as Rosa Edwards Park, and City of Hendersonville staff want to hear from the community about the future of this recreational space at an informal drop-in meeting.

What: Community Input Meeting on Rosa Edwards Park

When: Monday, April 20, 2026 – Drop by from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM

Where: Rosa Edwards Park – Field located at the corner of 3rd Avenue West and Buncombe Street behind the main branch of the Henderson County Public Library

*In the event of inclement weather, the input meeting will be held in the Kaplan Auditorium of the Henderson County Public Library Main Branch at 301 N. Washington Street

Who: City of Hendersonville staff welcome community members to drop by and provide input on the future of Rosa Edwards Park

The 2024 Parks and Greenspace Master Plan identified Rosa Edwards Park as a location for future park amenities. At their January 2026 meeting, City Council directed staff to continue developing concepts for Rosa Edwards Park and receive input from the community. Some ideas that have been proposed for the field include a playground, dog park, Safety City program space, park restroom facilities, and more.

Community members are invited to drop by and weigh in on potential park concepts that can help inform planning efforts and grant funding applications.
