An Evening for All Souls: A Gathering of Song and Spirit, Sun. Oct. 26 at Kanuga

Enjoy an evening of community, music, and remembering together those who have helped to form and make us at An Evening for All Souls: A Gathering of Song and Spirit, Sunday, Oct. 26 at Kanuga. The evening begins at 4 p.m. at Kanuga Lake with a community choir workshop, followed by dinner and luminaria making on the Rocking Chair Porch Lawn at 5 p.m., and concludes with a concert by musical artist Roots Grown Deep at 6 p.m., with a luminaria release on the lake at dusk. 4:00 PM–5:30 PM, Community Choir Workshop: All are welcome to come and learn a song that will be sung as the luminaria are released onto Kanuga Lake this evening. Join your voice with the CCLD One Voice Community Choir and others in our community.

5:00 PM–6:30 PM, Dinner and Luminaria Making on the Rocking Chair Porch Lawn: Enjoy a dinner of white chicken chili and cornbread with lemonade and iced tea; cash bar will be available. Participants are also invited to create your own personalized luminaria: you may write a name, draw a picture, or write a poem or story. Kanuga staff will be available to help you create your memory.

6:00 PM–7:15 PM, Roots Grown Deep Concert and Luminaria Release: This multi-continental ensemble includes Aditi Sethi, Jay Brown, Joel Karabo Elliott, Scott Sheerin, and Jahidi. Luminaria will be released on Kanuga Lake at dusk.
