Come out to celebrate the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the first 5.6-mile stretch of the Ecusta Trail, from Hendersonville to Horse Shoe.
Our community poured so much hard work and generosity into making this big day possible. After years of grassroots organizing by the Friends of the Ecusta Trail, Conserving Carolina stepped up as a partner to acquire the rail corridor, then raise millions of dollars for trail construction. Many partners played a huge role, including Henderson County, Henderson County Tourism Development Authority (TDA), the City of Brevard, federal grant funders, and generous local donors.
When complete, the Ecusta Trail will run for over 19 miles all the way from Hendersonville to Brevard. On July 18, you can help kick off the trail as a place to walk, run, bike, play and enjoy local businesses on your way!
