Friends of Ecusta Trail (FOET) is excited to announce Main2Main, the first official community event to take place on the Ecusta Trail. Scheduled for Sunday, April 19, 2026, Main2Main is a non-competitive Walk & Roll celebration designed to bring the community together to experience the trail in an inclusive, accessible way.
Main2Main invites participants to walk, jog, run, bike, roller blade, or roller skate at their own pace along the Hendersonville section of the Ecusta Trail. The event is intentionally non-timed and non-race-focused, emphasizing shared trail use, community connection, and celebration of the trail’s progress.
“This event marks an important milestone for the Ecusta Trail,” said Laura Rice, Executive Director of Friends of Ecusta Trail.
“We are excited to welcome everyone to experience the first six miles of the trail! Whether you are a regular or a first-time trail user, Main2Main is your invitation to explore our region’s new space for movement and connection. Join us as we celebrate the miles already on the ground and look forward to the future connection all the way to Brevard.”
The name Main2Main reflects the long-term vision of the Ecusta Trail to one day connect Main Street Hendersonville to Main Street Brevard. While that full connection is still in progress, Main2Main serves as an annual community tradition that celebrates both what has already been built and what lies ahead.
The event will begin and end at the Hendersonville Welcome Center, with staggered participation and clear safety measures in place to ensure a positive experience for all trail users. Participants are invited to continue the celebration at the official end-party hosted by Boodas Brewing Company, where the community can gather, connect, and toast to this historic first event on the Ecusta Trail.
Registration for Main2Main opened January 29, 2026, and will remain open through event day. Participants can choose from multiple distance options and activity types.
