HENDERSONVILLE, NC, March 30, 2026 – The Rotary Club of Hendersonville announces the 2nd Annual Pickleball for a Purpose, sponsored by UNC Health Pardee, happening in communities and clubs across Henderson County and culminating in championships on Saturday, May 16 at Edneyville Elementary School.
“Pickleball for a Purpose raises money for education in Henderson County while bringing our community together in friendly competition,” said Rotarian and tournament organizer, Jeff Pearce. “All proceeds from sponsorships directly support competitive grants for Henderson County Kindergarten through 12th grade educators and provide college and vocational scholarships for local graduating seniors.”
All Henderson County pickleball communities or clubs are invited to compete in Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Doubles while supporting this great cause. Club competition may be held anytime mid-April through May 8. Each club will then send their 1 st and 2nd place teams to the championships on May 16.
For interested individuals not representing a specific club or community, open competition will be held on April 29 from 6-8pm at Edneyville Elementary.
The Championship Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 16 from 8am until 4pm at Edneyville Elementary School.
