Smart Start Partnership for Children will host its 3rd Annual Adult Spelling Bee Fundraiser on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. At Sundry House at Continuum in downtown Hendersonville. Proceeds from this fun, community-focused event will support Smart Start’s mission to educate, advocate, and build a strong foundation for young children in Henderson County.
Registration opens Monday, January 12, 2026, for both teams and spectators. Teams consist of four adults (18+), and the entry fee is $250 per team, which includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and one drink ticket per participant. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team, the best-dressed team (audience-voted), and the team with the largest fan base.
Spectator tickets are $50 per person and $30 for children under 18 and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a drink ticket. To register as a team or spectator, visit smartstartpfc.org. Spelling Bee rules and the competition format are available on the Smart Start website.
“The Smart Start board is thrilled to host this fundraising event. We were inspired by the annual Henderson County 4th & 5th grade spelling bee hosted by our friends at Hendersonville Kiwanis,” said Summer Stipe, Smart Start Board Vice Chair and Spelling Bee Committee Co-Chair. “We hope the community will come out to compete, cheer on friends and colleagues, and learn more about Smart Start’s work in Henderson County.”
