“The Marvelous Wonderettes”, Tryon Little Theater’s season opener, is a musical trip down memory lane to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where we meet The Wonderettes: four girls with big hopes and dreams. The show follows their lives and loves on prom night and ten years later at their reunion. Described as a jukebox musical comedy, the show is written by Roger Bean, with oodles of pop songs from the 1950s and 60s. There will be an opening night reception, September 18, in the lobby at 7:00pm before the show. Show dates are September 18-21, and 25-28, at the Tryon Little Theater Workshop. Ticket prices are $30 and $15 for under 18s, and can be purchased online at www.tltinfo.org, or by calling 828-859-2466.
