The Henderson County Farm City Day event, started in 1955, is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2018 is located at Jackson Park, Hendersonville, NC, and begins at 10:00 am continuing until 4:00 pm. Approximately 80 acres of Jackson Park will be used for urban, rural, and educational displays, antiques and modern farm equipment, and crafters from many generations. Farm City Day celebrates our rural traditions and introduces the urban population to some common farming activities from previous generations.
A special youth area will feature many hands-on activates including petting farm animals, old-timey demonstrations, and a fishing pond. Enjoy many children’s games and stay for a wagon though the park.
Planned entertainment includes WTZQ’s Local Artist Showcase Stage featuring: Letters to Abigal, Further to Fly, and more….
Three other stages will have square dancing, clogging, bluegrass and performances throughout the day. Food and displays cover two fields by local non-profit organizations. There is no admission charged to any of the events and activities.
