“A Garden of Quilts” Quilt Show to be held in Flat Rock, NC

The Western North Carolina Quilters’ Guild, which has proudly promoted the
art of quilting since 1982, will present a juried quilt show entitled “A Garden of Quilts” for two days, May 17-18, 2019. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on
Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The location is the Youth Activities Building located in the Bonclarken Conference Center in Flat Rock, NC, nestled in the spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains.
This new exciting show will not only display fantastic award deserving quilts, but the addition of happenings, exhibits, and the possibilities for enjoyment of all in attendance.
The show will feature over 100 quilts, judged by Susan Edmonson, an award-winning quilt maker. There will be several arts-and-crafts vendors, raffle baskets and a Guild boutique. Docent tours can be arranged and a variety of food items will be for sale during the lunch hours.
The drawing for the Guild’s raffle quilt, “Pathways Through Nature” will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 4 p.m. The quilt is an original design, pieced and quilted by guild member, Judy Heyward. The winning ticket holder does not have to be present to win. Tickets are available through guild members and at the quilt show.
