Discover Natural Transylvania programs at the Transylvania County Library resume on Thursday, August 1 at 6:30 pm with “Birds of Western North Carolina.”  Mary Freudenberg with the Transylvania County Bird Club will be the speaker.

Freudenberg will introduce a variety of birds found in our backyards as well as other birds commonly seen in North Carolina while covering basic information including birdwatching and keys to identification.  In addition, she will provide tips to creating a backyard bird-friendly habitat using native plants.  Freudenberg enjoys educating people on how they can help birds and our planet.
