Dylan at Connemara Finds a New Home at Appalachian Ridge.
Hendersonville, NC; April 10, 2019 – The Gathering Dark revive Dylan at Connemara on Sunday May 19th, 2019 at 7pm at Appalachian Ridge Artisan Hard Cider.
In the winter of 2019, Dylan at Connemara debuted at The Gallery at Flat Rock to an overwhelming response from audiences. The Gathering Dark are thrilled to announce that the show will debut at Appalachian Ridge, a venue that offers breathtaking views,
delicious ciders, wines, and coffees.
About the Show:
The Gathering Dark (Josh Dunkin and Steven DuRose) present an evening of song, story, and wild speculation surrounding the day when Bob Dylan arrived in Flat Rock unannounced and knocked on Carl Sandburg’s door. The show will feature the songs and poems of Dylan and Sandburg as well as the story of how their meeting fits into the context of American cultural history. In the lexicon of American literary giants, Dylan and Sandburg tower above the flock. Why then is the story of their meeting oft-overlooked? The Gathering Dark will provide the answer.
About The Gathering Dark:
Josh Dunkin and Steve DuRose found one another in Hendersonville, NC via Chicago and Los Angeles, respectively. Dunkin is a songwriter and veteran of the The Second City Chicago. DuRose is a life-long student of the craft of songwriting as well as a working musician. Together they fly under the banner of The Gathering Dark and present a high-energy, intimate show experience unlike any other in Western North Carolina. Catch them every Monday night in Hendersonville, NC as hosts of Takes All Kinds: The Open Mic at Sanctuary Brewing Company.
