On Thursday, June 14, the Henderson County Public Library will host Jennifer McGaha, local author of the runaway hit memoir, Flat Broke with Two Goats. Visit with Ms. McGaha to hear her poignant and often humorous journey of homesteading in Western North Carolina, raising goats, and reconsidering ideas of home, happiness, and security. In April, the book was selected for the national Big Library Read promotion available through Overdrive and the North Carolina Digital Library’s Libby app. All Henderson County Public Library cardholders can read the eBook or listen to the audiobook instantly for free through the Hoopla Digital app. Books will be available for sale during the event. Join us in the Kaplan Auditorium of the Main Library from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
