Henderson County’s annual Fourth of July celebration

July 4, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Henderson County’s annual Fourth of July celebration will kick-off at 6 p.m. with activities and music in front of the Historic Courthouse on Main Street in Hendersonville. The event will culminate with the traditional Fireworks Show sponsored by Pepsi and Henderson County Tourism Development Authority.

“Summer in Henderson County is not complete without our annual Fourth of July Celebration,” said Carleen Dixon, Henderson County Parks and Recreation Director. “We love that we have the ability to bring the community together like this every year.”

The event will feature the Pardee UNC Health Care activities zone complete with an inflatable bounce castle, multiple cornhole boards, sno-cones, and a lemonade stand.  The county anticipates heavy attendance as area locals and visitors flock to the family-friendly festivities.

Attendees can expect to hear live bluegrass music from the Lonesome Road Band and Appalachian Fire band, enjoy a game of cornhole, and experience the holiday in a way that only Henderson County can provide.

For more information about the Independence Day celebration, please contact the Henderson County Parks and Recreation Office at 828-697-4884, Sr. Recreation Program Coordinator Tim Hopkin at 828-697-4885, or email: recreation@hendersoncountync.org.
