Hendersonville Ballet Company presents A Revue of the Classics
at 7:00 pm Sat., March 21, 2020 at Bo Thomas Auditorium located on the Blue Ridge Community College campus. This performance marks the end of the company’s 2019-2020 season. After a successful 2019 production of The Nutcracker, Hendersonville Ballet is going back to ballet basics with this production. The production will feature original choreography to beloved music by Handel and Beethoven as well as a selection from Gustav Holst’s, “The Planets.” Also featured will be many Fairy Variations from Tchaikovsky’s ballet The Sleeping Beauty. These beautiful solos and duets showcase the classical ballet training and technique for which Hendersonville Ballet is known. Student choreographers are playing a large part in the revue, highlighting the well-rounded dance education provided by Hendersonville Ballet. Hendersonville Ballet Company artistic director Kevin Overby says, “Our dancers are so multi-faceted in their training and creativity. We love giving them the opportunity to showcase their own growing skills in both.”

Tickets for A Revue of the Classics are $20.00 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10.00 for children/students. All profits from the performance are applied to student scholarships and the ballet company’s operating expenses.
