Historical Interpreter Presents at Saluda Train Tales

SALUDA, NC–Lucas R Safrit served at the NC Transportation Museum as a Historical Interpreter and will share exciting information on August 16, 2019 at the Saluda Historic Depot about the different steam and diesel locomotives that traversed the Saluda Grade.  A History major at Catawba College, Safrit is a NCTM volunteer and was an employee of the NCTM for more than 11 years. As a Rail Operations volunteer at the museum, Safrit learned how Southern Railway maintained the locomotives.

The N.C.
