IAM Opens Reservations for ‘A Taste of Hendersonville’ Fundraiser

August 14, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM) is now reserving seats for its biggest fundraiser of the year,
“A Taste of Hendersonville.”
This special food event, which raises funds to help struggling local residents, is scheduled for
Tuesday, August 14, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Community College Conference Hall.
Reservations are $65 per person. Attendees get to taste a variety of cuisines from local chefs,
restaurants and caterers in Henderson County who support IAM’s mission.
IAM Board Member Hardy Chandler, chair of the IAM Events Committee, recommends not
waiting to purchase your reservation as this event always sells out. “The sooner you make your
reservations, the better,” Chandler said. “You don’t want to miss out on this wonderful event that
supports the mission of IAM to support our neighbors in need.”
A Taste of Hendersonville includes live music, an extensive “experience” raffle and a live
auction. Raffle and auction items include theater and dining packages, one two-week session
and one week-long session at popular children’s summer camps, 12 months of plants and
flowers, wine packages, a dinner prepared by local actor and Flat Rock Playhouse star Preston
Dyer, a Colorado trip and other travel packages, Yeti products and more.
Funds raised at A Taste of Hendersonville help IAM, founded in 1984, help Henderson County
residents who are in financial crisis. In 2017, IAM helped more than 9,500 children and adults
with food, clothing, heat, utilities to prevent a cut-off, rent to prevent eviction, medication, school
supplies and other basic needs. Make a reservation for the “Taste” and find out more about IAM
