Interfaith Assistance Ministry “A Taste of Hendersonville.”

August 20, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Interfaith Assistance Ministry is now reserving seats for its biggest fundraiser of the year, “A Taste of Hendersonville.”

This special food event, which raises funds to help struggling local residents survive, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Community College Conference Hall. Reservations are $75 per person. Attendees get to taste a variety of cuisines from local chefs, restaurants and caterers in Henderson County who support IAM’s mission.

To sponsor “A Taste of Hendersonville” and reserve your seats or a table of 8, please call 697-7029 or visit IAM’s website: www.iam-hc.org and click on the tab under “A Taste of Hendersonville.” This year’s event will include more than 20 food vendors, a short program about IAM’s services to Henderson County residents who are facing a financial crisis or an ongoing crisis. An extensive silent auction and raffle based on “experiences” such as dining, vacations, day trips, theater tickets, a year’s worth of plants and posies, Yeti products, wine packages and more will help IAM raise money to serve thousands of struggling individuals, parents and their children.

IAM Executive Director Elizabeth Willson Moss, recommends not waiting to purchase your reservation. This event always sells out.

“Proceeds raised at IAM’s signature event helped us provide services to nearly 13,000 children and adults in 2018,” said Moss. “This year we are on track to serve even more of our neighbors in great need. We hope you will join us for a lovely evening made possible by the generosity of local restaurateurs and caterers.”

Funds raised at A Taste of Hendersonville ensure that IAM, founded in 1984, can continue assisting Henderson County residents who desperately need assistance with basic needs. In 2018, IAM helped more than 12,700 children and adults with food, clothing, heat, medications, personal hygiene items, school supplies and assistance with utility and housing bills and other hardships.  Make your reservations for “A Taste” and find out more about IAM at www.iam-hc.org or call 828-697-7029.

IAM, a 501c3 nonprofit, was founded in 1984 to serve as a clearing house for local faith congregations to assist area residents in financial crisis with food, clothing, shoes, utility bill and rent assistance. Please make donations via IAM’s website or mail to P.O Box 2562, Hendersonville, NC, 28792.
