The Fairy Trail and Village at Bullington Gardens hosts a Fairy Market on Saturday, August 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring face painting, Zen tangle art classes and a gnome scavenger hunt. Handmade crafts, crowns, wands, wings and DIY items will be available for purchase.

The Fairy Trail, which extends about 300 yards, passes by vignettes of fairy life and secret, tiny doors that open to reveal fairy scenes. A few of this year’s new installations are the Tooth Fairy, a unicorn stable, and a photo opportunity featuring Fairy Wings.

All the creations on the Fairy Trail have been handcrafted by Bullington Gardens’ volunteers, often using materials found right on the property. Families will be inspired to create their own fairy gardens at home.

The Woodland Gazette, a newsletter containing stories, puzzles and fairy-related activities, is available when visitors check in at the Trail’s welcome tent. Entry to the Trail is coordinated, and groups are sent down the path in ten-minute intervals. There may be a wait, but the gardens offer many beautiful areas to explore.

The Fairy Trail is open every Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All are invited to stroll the Fairy Trail to explore the fun and fantasy of the Fairy Village.

The Fairy Trail and grounds of Bullington Gardens are open to the public free of charge. As a non-profit organization, all donations are greatly appreciated.
