On September 22 the Oklawaha Greenway’s Inaugural Oktoberfest 5K Volksmarch will be held in conjunction with Southern Appalachian Brewery’s (SAB) annual Oktoberfest. The group walk will begin at SAB at 11:30 a.m. and then meander through the Historic 7th Avenue District and onto the Oklawaha Greenway. The pace will be slow to moderate and children and leashed pets are welcome. We will return to SAB at about 1:00 p.m., which is when the gate opens for the Oktoberfest Festival – just in time for the first beer and brat of the day!
Registration will be from 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with a $6 cash donation collected to benefit the Friends of the Oklawaha Greenway. Your receipt allows you Free Admission to the Oktoberfest Festival from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..
