Democrats believe that giving back to others or “paying it forward” creates a stronger, kinder sense of community.  This belief resulted in their annual “Be One Good Apple-Get Involved” event to honor three ordinary local people doing extraordinary things by giving of their time to help others.

   On Friday, June 7th, 2019, the Hendersonville Democratic Party will host this event at the Hendersonville County Club at 1860 Hebron Road from 5:30-7:30 pm.  There will be an open bar, buffet dinner, silent auction and music by Daniel Sage, a renown local singer and guitar player.  North Carolina Senator, Terry Van Duyn and candidate for Lieutenant Governor, will address the benefits and ripple effect of volunteering.
Each of the award recipients will be given a hand blown blue Apple created by local artist, Alison Chism.
