Eric Peterson, Conductor Present a Free Concert A Tribute to Veterans and our Armed Forces

The Blue Ridge Symphonic Brass will perform selections in a variety of styles, including a

Gabrieli Canzona with three choirs playing from the balcony, a beautiful Spanish-style

selection titled “Sevilla” and movements from “Lincolnshire Posy” by the classic

British band composer Percy Grainger.

The BC Wind Ensemble’s program will include a symphonic rhapsody on America the Beautiful

titled “Amber Waves of Grain,” Aaron Copland’s “Old American Songs” and music from the

 motion picture “Lincoln” by movie music master John Williams, with the two groups joining

forces for an “Armed Forces Salute” grand finale!
