The Rotary Club of Hendersonville will hold its Annual Charity golf Tournament at Cummings
Cove Country Club on Friday, May 10th. All proceeds from the event will benefit the club’s year
round commitment to support educational initiatives for the teachers and children in
Henderson County’s public schools.
The event is a Captain’s Choice 18 hole tournament, which includes a hole-in-one opportunity
to win a car, courtesy of Hendersonville Dodge, Ram, Jeep dealerships, prizes on all par 3 holes,
door prizes, goodie bags and surprises along the way. Tee time is 12 noon, lunch will be
provided and a buffet dinner served at the awards celebration.
The club’s goal is to raise $10,000 this year which will fund a variety of programs benefiting
children in Henderson County. Those programs include educational grants to classroom
teachers and the Gift of Knowledge dictionary project. In addition, the Rotary Club of
Hendersonville sponsors Interact Rotary clubs at the high school level, awards scholarships to
graduating seniors at each of the four high schools and the Early College Program at Blue Ridge
Community College.
